“I can represent my client from the
briefing through to the court case”
“After qualifying as a Legal Executive in
1997, Mark was amongst the first group to undertake the extended
Rights of Audience Training and become a Legal Executive Advocate.
He can now represent clients from the first briefing through
to the actual court case.
"I am a member of the Law Society’s Family
Panel," said Mark, "and was granted the Solicitors Family Law
Association specialist accreditation in children’s proceedings. As
I specialise in Family Law, I also earned the Joseph Jackson
Memorial Prize for the best examination paper in Matrimonial
Law.
“I would encourage anybody who is considering
a career as a Legal Executive to give it their best shot.
Whether studying at college or by distance learning, I believe the
key is to have the self-discipline and determination to succeed.
ILEX has allowed me to carve out a successful career in law where I
am respected by my peers.”

"The Advocacy Skills Course run by
Altior was excellent and provided me with a firm foundation on
which to develop my career. I look forward to the
challenge. I am extremely proud to be among the first in the
Country to qualify as a Legal Executive Advocate in Criminal
Proceedings.
"I would encourage all Legal Executives
practicing civil, family and criminal law to apply for extended
rights of audience. In qualifying as a Legal Executive you have
already proved that you have knowledge and experience: the Advocacy
courses will show you that you also have the skills and the
confidence to be an advocate."
